Charlee Queen XO

Charlee Queen XO is a multidisciplinary artist, vocalist, poet, and ceremonial guide whose work lives at the intersection of neo-soul, R&B, spoken word, movement, and ritual. Her performances dissolve the boundaries between concert and ceremony, inviting audiences into experiences of remembrance, where music becomes a practice of embodiment, collective healing, and radical self-love. Writing with emotional honesty and spiritual depth, Charlee explores the many faces of feminine power—not as perfection, but as presence. Her songs and poetry weave together themes of love, ancestry, sensuality, grief, motherhood, liberation, and belonging, creating space for people to return to themselves through voice, movement, and story. Every performance is an invitation to participate: to sing, breathe, move, and remember that healing is not something we achieve, but something we embody. Recognized as the first rapper-poet-singer to headline Edmonton's legendary Yardbird Suite, Charlee continues to redefine what live performance can feel like. She is Co-Director of the Black Femme Poetry Collective, a resident performer with House of Hush Burlesque, an Edmonton Arts Council grant recipient, and has been featured as Honourary Poet for Alberta's nationally televised Black History Month celebrations, as well as a commissioned poet for Emancipation Day through the Foundation for Black Communities and Canadian Heritage. Beyond the stage, Charlee is the creator of Innerverse Connect, where she has guided thousands through movement, mindfulness, and embodied practices that reconnect people with their innate creativity and self-worth. Drawing from yoga, somatic movement, Afro-diasporic traditions, and contemporary performance, she creates immersive experiences that blur the lines between art, wellness, and cultural storytelling. Her forthcoming project, "Rebirth", marks the next chapter in an evolving body of work exploring the transformation of womanhood, creative leadership, and the sacred intelligence of the body. Rooted in the Canadian Prairies yet resonating far beyond them, Charlee Queen XO is crafting a new language for live performance—one where vulnerability becomes strength, audiences become participants, and every gathering becomes an opportunity to remember the power of love.
